En un sistema de gesti\u00f3n de ingenier\u00eda civil, el proceso de evaluaci\u00f3n del pavimento se utiliza para encontrar su nivel de rendimiento, y suele consistir en un sistema de mediciones objetivas. Estos sistemas var\u00edan a la hora de establecer las prioridades de mantenimiento, determinar las estrategias de mantenimiento y predecir el rendimiento del pavimento. Independientemente del sistema, todos utilizan estas evaluaciones de calidad del pavimento para llegar a sus conclusiones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Rugosidad<\/strong>: En la evaluaci\u00f3n del pavimento, la rugosidad se refiere a las irregularidades de la superficie del pavimento que afectar\u00edan negativamente a la calidad de la conducci\u00f3n de un veh\u00edculo. La rugosidad del pavimento tambi\u00e9n tendr\u00e1 un impacto monetario en los conductores que afectar\u00e1 a los costes de explotaci\u00f3n de los veh\u00edculos, el consumo de combustible y los costes de mantenimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Resistencia al derrape<\/strong>: Cuando se impide que un neum\u00e1tico rote los deslizamientos a lo largo de la superficie del pavimento, se crea una fuerza conocida como resistencia al deslizamiento. Estos datos son importantes al evaluar el pavimento porque un pavimento con una resistencia al derrape inadecuada provocar\u00e1 un mayor n\u00famero de accidentes relacionados con el derrape. Dado que la mayor\u00eda de los organismos que gestionan las carreteras tienen la obligaci\u00f3n de hacer que \u00e9stas sean seguras para los conductores, el cuidado de la resistencia al derrape es un deber importante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dificultades en la superficie<\/strong>: Como una medida de datos en general, el deterioro de la superficie cubre cualquier signo de rendimiento del pavimento que indique que es desfavorable o que est\u00e1 sujeto a un fallo inminente. Las formas de deterioro de la superficie pueden clasificarse en fractura, distorsi\u00f3n y desintegraci\u00f3n. Las fracturas se forman a partir de una carga excesiva o de la fatiga y pueden presentarse en forma de grietas o desconchados. La distorsi\u00f3n se refiere a cuando el pavimento se deforma y la desintegraci\u00f3n se produce cuando el pavimento se desgasta o se desgarra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Deformaci\u00f3n<\/strong>: En la evaluaci\u00f3n de los pavimentos, la magnitud y la forma de la deformaci\u00f3n dependen de varios factores. Entre ellos figuran el volumen y el tipo de tr\u00e1fico que soporta el pavimento, la forma en que la temperatura y la humedad afectan a la estructura del pavimento y la secci\u00f3n estructural del mismo. La desviaci\u00f3n se mide en la distancia vertical de la superficie que se desv\u00eda como resultado de una carga aplicada al pavimento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Se estima que en los Estados Unidos m\u00e1s de un tercio de las principales carreteras del pa\u00eds est\u00e1n en malas o mediocres condiciones.
